Cool, cool, cool or should I say power, power, power. This one is a surefire hit in the show ring and will yield big dividends in the lambing jug. This combination already has me excited for next year’s lamb crop.

Tag: 4046 – Wether
DOB: 3-8-14
Sire: MSS 1119
Dam: MJ X Winters - G-27, Garret Caesar son
This young fellas biggest drawback is his age. Long clean lines, dead level hip, blown apart pin setting, serious dimension to his leg. When I made this mating I was hoping for a stud ewe to culminate these genetics in a maternal package to come back on a ram like Diamond Eyes or 3087. Here is a chance to let my misfortune be your success.

Tag 4048 - Wether
DOB: 3-9-14
Sire: MSS-3087 (Hoffa - Kingpin x Signature)
Dame: MSS 3084 (Hoffa – Kingpin x Signature x G-27 Caeser son (Winters/Johnson dame)
This 3087 lamb out of a Hoffa X Hoffa mating REALLY has me excited for next year. I have had lambs with that big ol pig groove down the back, but it is hard to make it show up on photos. You can see the power groove on this guy and know it is no fluke when you get back to his ham like legs flaring dimension to both the upper lower leg. Add in his big massive rack, his athletic look and his potential is limitless. This guy resembles the truckie Hoffa lamb the Wiebe family showed in AKSARBEN and Kansas City, but I think this guy might have a touch more length. The only thing I can find wrong with this lamb is his age is not conducive to our MN market.

DOB: 2-5-14
Sire: Oldenburg 1034
(check out our sire page to see this cool and powerful stud ram)
Dam: Bullington (Bullington-Forsee X Bruns – Forsee)
OK, the camera work leaves more than a little to be desired and didn’t realize that I didn’t capture a good one until I was without a camera person again. While this photo is clearly not the entire the picture it certainly gives you the business end of the deal. This is a stout well made ram/whether, big square hip, wide pin set with a pedigree for success.

Tag 4022 - wether
DOB: 2-6-14
Sire: MSS-1119 (Miller Flexmaster )
Dam: MSS-0402 (Viking x MSS) 0402 Twin brother was Division Champion at the Oklahoma Black and White Sale
This lamb started out small and was often over looked by the groups that came through the barn in Feb and early March but is coming on strong now. A late bloomer that will not have to be held for earlier shows and can be grown slow for later in the year. Get him fed and stick him in the ring and this late bloomer has plenty of profile, top/rack shape, leg development and profile to make some noise for whatever show you dial him in for. |

Sire: MSS-3087 (Hoffa = Kingpin X Signature – dam = Johnson Buster by Poison by a Weatherby daughter)
Dam: MSS 1201 (MJ = Grim Reaper X Trigger) x (Winters / Johnson Breeding)
4048 is the lamb in the middle of the picture. He is a massive made lamb with lots of power and plenty of look.
This lamb will be tremendous for placement into some September – November shows.
Get this lamb on the brace and watch his power explode from rack to hock. |

4038 and 4039 are a set of identical twins.
They are our very first offering out 3087. We are really excited about 3087’s future. He is out a tremendously thick Hoffa buck and old school Johnson ewe going back to some old Weatherby breeding. His first sampling of lambs is very promising and have been very popular amongst our visitors. They are a bit young for our MN market. If you have some later shows you need to take a look at some 3087 whethers. We will be hanging hanging on to his females until we at least know he has the next crop bred. As of now we plan to use him heavy for 2015 lambs.

A Flexmaster son bred back to a Flexmaster daughter. What can you say about this lamb beside, COOL COOL COOL…Not the most massive lamb in the pen, But if your going in front of judge that wants to stand behind a pretty profile on the champion picture this fella just might be a fit. Every show string needs one of these pretty boys.

The Oldenburg ram that Kalen found in Ohio has proven to be a true stud ram. Regardless of the type of ewe you breed him to he produces a uniform set of lambs with an excellent complement of pretty and power. His first crop of daughters have just gone through the lambing jugs and have not disappointed there either. We have about 20 Southdown females on the ground.
Below you will find a sampling of what we have to offer.

We will have delivery opportunities available to the Big Ohio Weekend and Corp I.
I am sure there are some other delivery options available as well.
Feel free to call to discuss other options.

Manthei 4003 - Ram/Wether
D.O.B. 1-30-14
Manthei 4003 (Ram/Whether) pictured here at 48 days of age.
This is a real total package lamb complete with a flashy appearance and plenty of power.
The genetics are lined up tight and should make a tremendous out cross ram. 4003 is sired by Manthei 2063; 2063 is sired by Oldenburg 1034 (Godfather grandson out of ewe going back to N.S.L.S. “Topper”). 2063’s Dame is a Held Brothers ewe sired by Prince Fielder.
The Dame of 4003 is Manthei 2024 she is sired by Oldenburg 1034; her dame is McGuire/Howard bred ewe.

3042 Ewe
Oldenburg X Manthei 0438 by NSLS Down and Dirty
D.O.B. 1-23-13
Down and Dirty is the ram that Kalen bought ½ interest in from Jeff Repasky and died on my watch. I think it took about a year before either one of them talked to me. We got one crop out of him and we only had a handful of ewes at that time so his numbers are limited. The females out of Down and Dirty are guarded pretty close here.
We have not let any of the daughters or granddaughter leave the place prior to this offering.

3091 Ram/Whether - SOld
Hoffa X 2008 /Miller Flex Master on a daughter of a Despain 12 son.
This lamb has really come on in the past 10 days. He has always been a big cool lamb but as he becomes more massive his bold square lines are really setting him out from the crowd. Hoffa is deceased and this is your last chance to have a piece of him. Just imagine the power of this guy when he is braced and driving hard. Hoffa sired a piece of several county fair champion drives with both whethers and females, Minnesota State Fair Auction lambs, Purple ribbon lamb at Aksarben and a division winner at NAILE.
Check out Hoffa on our sires page.

GREEN, GREEN, GREEN, a pair of lambs sired by MJ and the Dam (8022) of MS-1119 (Sire's Page)
This pair of lambs has not drawn a lot of attention in the barn. 8022 is not milking well and her lambs have falln below the progress curve of their contemporaries. Give them some time, some groceries and I believe these MJ on the mother of MS-1119 lambs will explode. They are structurally assembled very well and have plenty of style and balance. Their genetics tell me they will continue to bulk up to be powerful lambs as they mature. |
